Pleasant View Campus of Care is located at 7530 Hurd Street, Mission, BC.  At the Campus of Care we have Assisted Living: Suites at Pleasant View and Residential Care: the Residence at Pleasant View. These two health care programs are for adults with mental health concerns. We also have independent housing options at the Campus of Care. These are the Loft Apartments at Pleasant View and the Park Side Apartments at Pleasant View. All the housing options are designed to provide a home-like and secure environment, supportive relationships and promote a sense of community.

We are a certified member of the Mission Crime Free Building Multi-Housing Program. This program helps us to keep our building crime free. The following are the details of services and housing we offer at Pleasant View Campus of Care.

Suites at Pleasant View

The Suites at Pleasant View is an Assisted Living program registered with the Assisted Living Registry of BC.  Located in the Campus of Care building, there are 22 self-contained suites.

Units are fully furnished and include an equipped kitchenette, TV and cablevision. Linens are exchanged weekly.  A community phone and computer is available for common use. Clients do their personal laundry in a common laundry area at no charge and are required to maintain their suite in a clean and orderly fashion. Clients also partake in maintaining their community environment by doing chores such as setting the dining tables or wiping dining tables after meals when assigned. Smokers can smoke in the designated gazebo area and are responsible to ensure this area remains clean at all times. The clients are supported to be as independent as possible.

There are two assisted living services offered at the Suites at Pleasant View. These services include Medication Administration and Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) which entails providing guidance and assistance in developing and building skills as the clients walk a path to increased independence.  In assisted living, as clients are expected to maintain their suites in a clean state, support is provided with weekly light housekeeping and personal laundry if needed. We also facilitate recreation activities and provide two meals a day which is overseen by our red seal Executive Chef Manager. One snack a day is offered and we offer a breakfast program to help clients build skills in budgeting and purchase of healthy breakfast items that they can prepare in their own kitchenette. Morning coffee is available in the common area during the morning PSR program for those that join the program. The clients participate in the development of their individualized recovery plan which helps to guide the Team in providing supports based on the clients’ identified goals. Each client also has a case manager and psychiatrist assigned to them through the Fraser Health Authority.  The Fraser Health Authority determines who is referred to this health care program. Placement inquiries should be directed to the local Mental Health Centre.  As a registered Assisted Living facility, we meet or exceed the standards of care identified in the regulations of Home and Community Care and Assisted Living Act.

Residence at Pleasant View

Each room is private, furnished and comes with a two piece washroom and television. The care needs of our Clients are varied, so the clients participate in the development of their individualized recovery plan which helps to guide the Team in providing supports based on the clients’ identified goals. Therapeutic services such as Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) include skill development in areas of activities of daily living, leisure programs and community access.  Each client has a case manager and a psychiatrist assigned to them through the Fraser Health Authority.  As a licensed residential care facility, we meet or exceed the standards of care identified in the regulations of Home and Community Care and Assisted  Living Act.
