Pleasant View Place

Pleasant View Place, a six bedroom house in a local Mission, BC neighborhood offers a supportive environment for those living with mental illness. This communal living environment has six clients living together who are all expected to help maintain the cleanliness of the home, be respectful of each other and participate in the programming offered. Group and one to one programs are held daily and focus on building life skills.  Program topics offered may include, but are not limited to, household management, nutrition, understanding and utilizing resources within the community, social skills and self-management. Clients may come together and cook their main meal communally but it is not a requirement.  A community phone and computer is available for common use. The washer and dryer is shared among the clients. Utilities and household cleaning supplies are provided.

A security deposit of a half a month’s rent is required and the rent rate is set by the Fraser Health Authority.

How long can I stay: A two year length of stay is the target but not mandated. People can stay longer if they need to and leave sooner as desired. But it is expected that while at Pleasant View Place clients will participate in the programming.
